Rebel Scarf

Pattern Description:

The Rebel Scarf combines lace and aran-weight yarn. Its lace pattern creates zigzag sides while being knit straight, with a wave cable following these zigzags in the middle. Made with thick yarn and big needles, it is a fun and quick knit or gift.

Materials Needed & Measurements:

  • Yarn: Cascade Yarns, Cascade 220 Superwash Aran Splatter
  • Yarn Weight: Aran
  • Needles: Size US 10 (6.0 mm): 32” circular. It is recommended to use a knitting needle 0.5 mm larger than your usual size for good drape.
  • Notions: tapestry needle, 1 cable needle
  • Measurements: 7.5 in x 66 in / 19 cm x 167 cm

Stitches & Abbreviations Used:

  • BC = Back Cross – slip 2 sts to cn and hold in back, k2, then k2 from cn
  • FC = Front Cross – slip 2 sts to cn and hold in front, k2, then k2 from cn

Casting On

  • CO 28 sts (Cast on 28 stitches).

Initial Rows

  • Row 1 (RS – Right Side): K28 (Knit 28 stitches).
