Stitching Instructions for Tiny Bee Amigurumi Pattern:
Bee Body:
- R 1: Start with a magic ring in Saffron. Work 6 sc into the ring and pull the ring tight. (6 sts)
- R 2: Increase by working 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
- R 3-4: Work sc in each st around for two rounds. (12 sts each)
- R 5: Change to Black. Work sc in each st around. (12 sts)
- R 6: Change to Saffron. Work sc in each st around. (12 sts)
- R 7: Change to Black. Work sc in each st around. (12 sts)
- R 8-9: Change back to Saffron. Work sc in each st around for two rounds. (12 sts each)
- Insert your safety eyes between rounds 2 and 3 (or use French knots for eyes).
- R 10: Start decreasing by working (sc2tog) 6 times to close the body. (6 sts)
- Stuff the bee’s body firmly with toy stuffing or scrap yarn before completing the last round.
- Finish stuffing, then use the yarn tail to sew through the front loops of the last round. Pull tight to close and weave in the end.
Bee Wings (make 2):
- Ch 6 in White.
- In the 4th ch from hook, work 1 dc, then 1 hdc in the next chain, and finally 1 sc in the last chain.
- After completing the wing, sew it onto the back of the bee, positioning it to look balanced and cute. Repeat for the second wing.
Finishing:
- Weave in any loose ends.
- If you didn’t use safety eyes, create French knots in Black yarn to form the eyes, sewing them in the correct position on the bee’s face.
- Ensure that the bee’s body is securely stuffed and stitched closed to prevent any stuffing from escaping.
Optional Embellishments:
- You can add small stitches with embroidery floss or yarn to create facial features, like a smile or little antennae, if desired.
