Creating the Hanging Cords:

  • Cut 6 equal lengths of yarn: Each piece should be about 24 inches long.
  • Attach cords to the hanger:
    • Fold each yarn strand in half.
    • Pull the folded end through the final round of stitches at the bottom of the hanger.
    • You should now have 6 loops.
  • Braid the cords:
    • Group the 6 strands into 3 pairs of 2.
    • Braid each pair to form a strong and secure cord.
  • Tie a knot: Tie a knot at the end of each braid to secure the strands in place.

Finishing:

  • Weave in any loose ends: Use a tapestry needle to weave in the yarn ends, making sure to hide them neatly inside the crochet work.
  • Adjust the length of the cords: If needed, trim the cords for the desired hanging height.
  • Complete your crochet plant hanger: Your project is now finished and ready to hang your plant pot!
