Joining the Triangles – 2 Methods
The two monster body triangles are joined together with right sides facing out. You will join approximately 14 or 15 stitches along the two edged sides of the triangles.
- Method 1: Slip Stitch Join (sl st join)
- This method is noted as the designer’s favorite.
- Step 1: With right sides facing out, lay your 2 triangles on top of each other.
- Step 2: Locate the centermost 14 or 15 stitches along the 2 sides of the triangles that were edged. Using a 4mm crochet hook and the yarn of your choice, sl st the 2 triangles together. Fasten off. Weave in ends, glue on eyes (if desired), and enjoy the bookmark.
- Method 2: Whip Stitch Join
- Step 1: With right sides facing out, lay your 2 triangles on top of each other.
- Step 2: Using a yarn needle and a length of yarn approximately 2 times the perimeter of your triangle.
- Whipstitch 14 – 15 sts together from the edging. Fasten off. Weave in ends, glue on eyes (if desired), and enjoy the cute little Happy Monster Crochet Bookmark.
