Start with a magic ring (MR), or alternatively, make 5 ch and join with a sl st in the 5th ch from the hook to form a ring.
Work 20 dc (double crochet) into the ring.
After completing the 20 dc, sl st in the first dc to join the round. (You should now have 20 dc stitches in total.)

Ch 1 (this does not count as a stitch, it’s just a starting point).
Work 1 sc (single crochet) in the first dc.
Now, you’ll create a star point:
- 5 ch (chain 5).
- 1 sc in the second ch from the hook.
- 1 hdc (half double crochet) in the third ch.
- 1 dc (double crochet) in the fourth ch.
- 1 tr (treble crochet) in the fifth ch.
Skip 3 dc from the previous round and work 1 sc in the 4th dc.
Repeat step 3 (making the star point) and step 4 (skipping 3 dc and making a sc) 4 times.
After the last star point, make another 5 ch, then work the final part of the star:
- 1 sc in the second ch from the hook.
- 1 hdc in the third ch.

In the 6ch-sp, work:

In the next 6ch-sp, work:

- 2 ch,
- 3 dc.
Fptr around the tr of the previous star point.
