- Rows 13-54: Alternate between Colors A and B in six-row stripes (three repeats of Rows 3-4) for each color. Continue this pattern until you end with a Color A stripe.

Assembling the Pillow
- Attach Buttons: Sew three buttons onto Back #1 (the piece without buttonholes) at Row 6. Start 13 stitches from the left side for the first button, space each button about 14 stitches apart.
- Join Back Pieces: Lay Back #2 over Back #1, align the buttonholes with the buttons, and fasten the buttons. There should be a 10-row overlap. Use stitch markers to keep them aligned.
- Attach Front Piece to Back: Place the front piece on top of the back pieces with the wrong sides together. The loop stitches on the front should face outward.
Crocheting the Border
- Attach Color A anywhere along the edge: Chain 1, single crochet around all four sides of the pillow with three sc in each corner.
- Finish: Join to the first sc with an invisible join, trim yarn, and weave in all ends.
- Insert Pillow: Undo the buttons, insert the 16 x 16 pillow insert, and rebutton the back.
