Pattern Description:

The Crochet Wildflower Blanket features the classic trinity stitch, which resembles small flowers in a row, leading to its name.

This baby blanket is finished with a few rounds of single crochet and a delicate picot border, designed to keep the focus on the main stitch.

Before beginning, remember to make a practice swatch to ensure you have the appropriate hook size for drape and ease of working the stitches.

Starting Chain: Chain 110, or any even number if you wish to make a larger blanket.
Row 1:
- Begin in the second chain from the hook and work 1 SC.
- Insert hook into the same space as the SC just worked and pull up a loop (this is the first “leg” of the stitch).
- Insert hook into the next chain and pull up a loop (second “leg”).
- Insert hook into the next chain and pull up a loop (third “leg”).
- Yarn over and pull through all loops on your hook (SC3TOG complete).
- CH 1.
- Now, repeat from step 2 (starting with inserting the hook into the same chain as the third leg of the previously worked stitch and pulling up a loop) across the row until there are 2 chains left.
- Work 1 more SC3TOG, but OMIT the CH 1 after this last SC3TOG in the row.
- Work 1 SC into the final stitch where you worked the 3rd leg of the last SC3TOG.
- CH 1 and turn.
Row 2:
- Work 1 SC into the first stitch.
- Beginning in the same space as the SC just worked, insert hook and pull up a loop.

- CH 1.
