Dress & Boots Sewing Instructions
- Dress:
- Using the template, cut strips of fabric for the dress and hem the edges.
- Adjust the sizing by leaving a 1 cm (0.5”) seam allowance.
- Sew along the edges to secure the front and back parts, leaving a tube between.
- Invert the tube to form the dress.
- Boots:
- Hem the top edge of fabric.
- Sew along lines, leaving seam allowance, and cut the shapes.
- Invert the fabric to form the boots.
Assembly
- Attach the body to the bottom of the head.
- Slip the dress over the body.
- Place the arms on either side of the dress and sew them onto the body.
- Sew the legs onto the bottom of the body.
- Add the boots by sewing the gold beads onto each boot and placing them at the bottom of the legs.
Final Details
- Add pink blush to the cheeks using a pink sharpie.
- Sew beads onto the collar to create a necklace.
- Create the flower crown by wrapping floral wire into a circle and attaching flowers with floral tape or glue.
