Instructions for Making the Wool Teddy Bear Pattern:
Step 1: Making the Head (Hd)

- Take red yarn (RY) and wrap it around four fingers 100 times.
- Secure the middle tightly with a piece of the same yarn, forming a PP.
- Use Sc to trim the ends evenly to create a round, fluffy shape.
Tip: Make sure the PP is compact but soft, as it will define the Hd’s shape.
Step 2: Making the Body (Bd)

- Repeat the Hd process using RY, wrapping around four fingers 100 times.
- Secure and trim with Sc to form another PP.
Note: The Bd PP should be slightly larger than the Hd PP for proportional balance.
Step 3: Making Ears, Hands, and Legs

- Switch to blue yarn (BY).
- Wrap BY around two fingers 50 times to form a PP for each part.
- Trim neatly with Sc.
Quantity Needed:
- Ears: 2 PP
- Hands: 2 PP
- Legs: 2 PP
Abbreviation Key:
- E – Ear
- H – Hand
- L – Leg
Tip: Ensure each PP is roughly the same size for symmetry.
Step 4: Attaching the Head and Body

- Use T/N to sew Hd PP to Bd PP securely.
- Align Hd on top of Bd, leaving no gap between them.
Alternative: You may use a hot glue gun if sewing is not preferred.
Abbreviation Key:
- Hd→Bd – Head attached to Body
Step 5: Attaching the Hands (H)

- Sew two blue PP to the sides of the Bd to form H.
- Ensure H are at equal height and distance from the center.
Tip: Position slightly outward for a natural arm pose.
Step 6: Attaching the Legs (L)

- Attach the remaining two blue PP to the bottom of Bd to form L.
- Align L evenly to maintain the bear’s balance when seated.
Abbreviation Key:
- L↓Bd – Legs attached to Body bottom
Step 7: Attaching the Ears (E)

- Sew the two small blue PP to the top sides of Hd.
- Position them symmetrically for a balanced look.
Abbreviation Key:
- E↑Hd – Ears attached to Head top
Step 8: Making and Attaching the Tail

- Wrap BY around two fingers 25 times to form a small PP.
- Secure and trim evenly.
- Sew this tail PP to the back center of Bd.
Tip: The tail adds a cute finishing touch but should remain proportional.
Step 9: Adding Facial Features

- Choose color stickers, buttons, or felt for the eyes and nose.
- Attach them to the Hd PP securely.
- Position eyes slightly above the center line of Hd and nose just below them.
Abbreviation Key:
- Eyes & Nose – Ey/Ns
Step 10: Finishing Touches

- Fluff all PPs with fingers to give the bear a soft, rounded appearance.
- Trim any uneven yarn strands.
- Adjust the positioning of limbs and Hd if necessary for symmetry.
Optional: You may add a small bow or scarf for extra charm.
