Stitching Instructions for Making the Arlo Granny Square Crocheted Cardigan Pattern:

With Natural Heather Color:

  • Ch 4, sl st into the first ch to create a ring.
  • Round 1:
    • Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in the ring, ch 2,
    • (3 dc in the ring, ch 2) repeat 3 times,
    • Sl st into the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 3 to join.
  • Round 2:
    • Ch 3, 2 dc in the same ch 2 space,
    • Ch 1, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch 2 space, repeat 2 more times,
    • Ch 1, 3 dc in the last ch 2 space, ch 2,
    • Sl st in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 3.
    • Pick up Fisherman color for the next round.
  • Round 3 (With Fisherman Color):
    • Ch 3, 2 dc in the same ch 2 space,
    • Ch 1, (3 dc in ch 1 space, ch 1) in each ch 1 space to corner,
    • (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the corner ch 2 space,
    • Repeat from * two more times,

  • Rounds 4 – 5:

Assembly Instructions:

  • Seam 4 Panels (Front & Back Panels):
    • Seam 4 granny squares together end to end (right sides out) using the Flat Slip Stitch Join method.
    • Repeat this process 4 times to create 4 separate panels.
  • Seam Sleeves:
    • Seam two granny squares together (right sides out) along one end.
    • Seam opposite ends together to form a cylinder (sleeve).
    • Seam the two cylinders end to end to complete one sleeve.
    • Repeat to make the second sleeve.
  • Seam Panels at Center Back:
    • Use the Seamless Join method to seam the back panels at the center.

  • Seam Each Side:

Finishing Touches:

  • Double Crochet Cuff:
    • Using Fisherman yarn, dc evenly along the bottom of each sleeve for 3 rounds.

  • Crochet Collar Detail:
