Pattern Description:
Chic meets fun in the Bobble Clutch Bag! This textured beauty is crafted using the bobble stitch to give it a pop of personality and style.
Whether you’re pairing it with casual denim or an evening outfit, this clutch adds a playful yet sophisticated flair.
The bag is made in one piece, featuring a solid single crochet (SC) base and eye-catching bobble stitch sides.
Materials Needed:
- Yarn: CotLin™ DK (70% Tanguis Cotton, 30% Linen; 123 yards/50g)
- Color Used: Ivy (26994)
- Quantity: 2 balls
- Hook: US 7 (4.5mm) or size needed to meet gauge
- Notions: Yarn needle
Measurements:
- Base Diameter: ~3.5″ (Rounds 1-10)
- Height (excluding base): ~8.5″
- Gauge (approximate): 15 sts and 16 rows = 4″ in bobble stitch

Special Stitches:
- Bobble Stitch (bo): (YO twice, insert hook into indicated stitch, YO and pull up a loop, YO and pull through 2 loops, YO and pull through 2 loops) repeat 4 times in same stitch.
Then YO and pull through all 5 loops on the hook. Bobble stitches are worked on the WS and pushed to the RS as needed.

Construction Notes:

- Rnd 13: Ch 1, SC in next st, (bo in next, SC in next 3) repeat 14 times, bo in next st, SC in last 2 sts. Sl st to join. Turn.
- Rnd 14: Ch 1, SC around, sl st to join. Turn.
- Rnds 15-34: Repeat Rnds 11-14 five more times (5 bobble sets).
Top and Optional Strap
- Rnd 35: Ch 1, (SC in 3 sts, bo in next) 15 times. For optional wrist strap: Ch 40, sl st into same st as last bo. Sl st to join. Turn.
- Rnd 36: Ch 1, (SC in 3 sts, ch 1, sk next st) 15 times. Sl st to join. Turn.
- Rnd 37-38: Repeat Rnds 13 and 14.
- Rnd 39-42: Repeat Rnds 11-14 one more time. Fasten off.
Finishing Touches:
- Weave in ends using a yarn needle.
- Drawstring Closure:
- Ch 60.
- Sl st into 6th ch from hook to form a small loop. Fasten off.
- Starting at the front, weave the drawstring through the ch-spaces made in Rnd 36, finishing at the same spot to thread through the loop.
- Tassel (Optional): Add a handmade tassel to one end of the drawstring for a decorative touch.
