Bright Side Coasters Pattern

Materials Needed & Measurements:

  • Suggested Yarn: Light fingering or fingering weight yarn in Off White, Light Beige, and Pearl Gray.
  • Yarn Measurements: Approximately 150g in total for 10 coasters (50g of each color is recommended).
  • Hook Size: 3.5 mm (US size E/4).
  • Pattern Measurements: Each coaster measures approximately 10-12 cm (4-4¾”) in diameter.
  • Needle: Yarn needle for weaving in ends.

  • ch: Chain
  • sl st: Slip stitch
  • sc: Single crochet
  • dc: Double crochet

Stitching Instructions for Making Bright Side Coasters Pattern:

Coaster-1:

  • Start by making 4 chain stitches (ch) with 3.5 mm hook and Off White yarn.
  • Join the chain into a ring with a slip stitch (sl st) in the first chain stitch.
  • Work in the round according to Diagram A.1a for the cast-on and round 1.
  • Then work Diagram A.1c a total of 6 times around the round.
  • Follow Diagram A.1b for how rounds start and finish.
  • When the pattern is completed, the coaster should measure approximately 11 cm (4½”) in diameter.
  • Cut and fasten off the yarn.

Coaster-2:

  • Make 4 chain stitches with 3.5 mm hook and Light Beige yarn.
  • Form a ring with a slip stitch (sl st) in the first chain stitch.
  • Work in the round according to Diagram A.2b for one time, followed by Diagram A.2c a total of 6 times.
  • Diagram A.2a shows how rounds start and finish.
  • The coaster should measure approximately 11 cm (4½”) in diameter when finished.
  • Cut and fasten off the yarn.

Coaster-3:

  • Work 4 chain stitches with 3.5 mm hook and Off White yarn.
  • Join into a ring with a slip stitch (sl st) in the first chain stitch.
  • Work in the round according to Diagram A.3b a total of 4 times.
  • Refer to Diagram A.3a for how rounds start and finish.
  • When completed, the coaster should measure approximately 11 cm (4″) by 11 cm (4″).
  • Cut and fasten off the yarn.

Coaster-4:

  • Work 4 chain stitches with 3.5 mm hook and Pearl Gray yarn.
  • Form a ring with a slip stitch (sl st) in the first chain stitch.
