Tree Coaster
Foundation: Using Color A, create a magic ring (MR) or chain 5 and slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.
Row 1 (Tree Base):
- Chain 4 (counts as 1 treble), make 3 treble stitches into the ring.
- Make 2 slip stitches around the post of the last treble, then slip stitch into the ring.

Star:

Round 1:
- Into the ring, (single crochet, picot). Repeat from * 4 more times.
- Pull the yarn tail to close the magic ring, then slip stitch into the first single crochet to join. Cut yarn and fasten off.
Finishing
- Use a yarn needle to weave in the tail ends of the tree and star.
- Sew the star to the top of the tree.
