Easy Jute Water Bottle Holder Pattern

Materials Needed & Measurements:

  • Suggested Yarn:
    • Natural Jute 1.5mm twine (approximately 100 yards)
    • Option: You could also try #4 cotton yarn, though it hasn’t been tested with this pattern.
  • Yarn Measurements: Approximately 100 yards of jute twine
  • Hook Size:
    • 5mm (H) hook for the main pattern
    • 4mm (G) hook for edging
  • Pattern Measurements:
    • Gauge: 3 1/2 inches in diameter after round 6
    • Finished Size: 7 inches tall, fitting a water bottle up to 11 1/2 inches in circumference
  • Needle: Yarn needle (for weaving in ends)

Abbreviations:

  • sl st = slip stitch
  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • rsc = reverse single crochet (crab stitch)
  • BPsc = back post single crochet

Special Stitches:

  • BLO (Back Loop Only): Work all stitches for the round in the back loop.

Step by Step Guide for Easy Jute Water Bottle Holder Pattern

Main Body of the Holder:

  1. Round 1:
    • Start with a magic circle.

  3. Position the other D-ring directly across from the first and sew it in place.

Final Touches:

  • If you’re not using the jute twine for emergency purposes like cordage or tinder, you can weave in all loose ends.
