Flower Gal

Petals (Color C) (Optional flower petals around head)

  • Finish: Fasten off, leaving a tail to attach to the head.

Bee Wings (Color A)

  • Rnd 1: Ch 5, join with a sl st to form a ring.
  • Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), then make 2 dc in each of the next 4 stitches (10 st).
  • Rnd 3: (Sc 1, inc) x 5 (15 st).
  • Finish: Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Bee Body (Color D)

  • Rnd 1: Make a magic ring (mr), and sc 6 in the ring. (6 st)
  • Rnd 2: Inc in each st around (12 st).
  • Rnd 3: (Sc 2, inc) x 4 (16 st).
  • Rnd 4–5: Sc in each st around (16 st).
  • Rnd 6: (Sc 1, inv dec) x 4 (12 st).
  • Rnd 7: Inv dec around (6 st).
  • Finish: Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Bee Stripes (Color E)

  • Rnd 1: Ch 12, join to form a circle with a sl st.
  • Rnd 2: Sc in each st around (12 st).
  • Finish: Fasten off, leaving a tail to attach to the bee’s body.

Assembly:

  • Attach the Head to the Body: Use the tapestry needle and yarn tail from the head to stitch it onto the body.
  • Add the Skirt: Sew the skirt around the base of the body.
  • Attach Petals and Wings: Use the long yarn tails from the petals and wings to sew them onto the head and body.
  • Bee Stripes and Body: Attach the bee stripes to the body and sew the wings onto the back of the bee.
