- 12 mm Safety Eyes (for the eyes)

- Lion Brand Silky Twist or Homespun (for hair, shown in Java and Cream)
Measurements:
- Yarn Measurements: Approx. 100g of size 4 yarn.
- Hook Size: 4.0 mm or 3.75 mm.

- Head: Increases from 18 to 54 stitches, then decreases to 12 stitches

Abbreviations:
- SC – Single crochet
- SC INC – Single crochet increase (2 SC in each stitch)
- INV DEC – Invisible decrease (worked by crocheting through the front loops only)
- Magic Circle – Creating a loop and working stitches inside it
- DC – Double crochet
- TRC – Treble crochet
Stitching Instructions for The Friendly Mae Doll Pattern:
Legs:
- Round 1: In a magic circle, SC 6.
- Round 2: SC INC in each stitch around (12).
- Round 3: SC in the first stitch, SC INC in the next. Repeat around (18).
- Rounds 4-18: SC in each stitch around (18).
- Fasten off.
- Repeat for the second leg but do not fasten off. Instead, chain 3, and SC in the next stitch of the other leg. Continue SC around both legs, crocheting over the tail from fastening off. When reaching the chain, SC in each chain and continue around the second leg. In the last SC on the chain, place the stitch marker. This is round 19.
Body:
- Rounds 21-34: SC around (42).
- Round 35: SC 4, INV DEC, repeat around (35).
- Round 36: SC 3, INV DEC, repeat around (28).
- Round 37: SC 2, INV DEC, repeat around (21).
- Round 38: SC 1, INV DEC, repeat around (14).
- INV DEC until 12 stitches remain.
- Round 39: SC in each stitch around (12).
Head:
- Round 1: SC in the first stitch, SC INC in the next. Repeat around (18).

- Stuff lightly and attach the arms to the body between rows 36 & 37.
Hair:
- Round 1: In a magic circle, SC 6.
- Round 2: SC INC in each stitch around (12).
- Round 3: SC in the first stitch, SC INC in the next. Repeat around (18).
- Round 4: SC in the first 2 stitches, SC INC in the next. Repeat around (24).
- Round 5: SC in the first 3 stitches, SC INC in the next. Repeat around (30).
- Round 6: SC in the first 4 stitches, SC INC in the next. Repeat around (36).
- Round 7: SC in the first 5 stitches, SC INC in the next. Repeat around (42).

Ears:
- Chain 3, in the first chain place 2 DCs.
- Fasten off and pull tight. Attach the ears to the head on the same rows as the eyes.
Bow:
- Chain 5, in the 4th chain from the end, place 3 TRC.
- Chain 3 and slip stitch in the same hole.
- Chain 4 from the last chain, place 3 TRC in the same hole, Chain 3 and slip stitch in the same hole.
- Fasten off and leave a long tail to tie.
Dress:
- Chain to a length that fits around the body (approx. 42 stitches).
- Connect the chain with a slip stitch, forming a circle.
- Chain 2.
- Rows 1-11: DC in each stitch across. Slip stitch to the first DC. Chain 2.
- Row 12: DC INC in each stitch across.
- Fasten off and sew onto the body, just under the pink puff sleeves.
