• Hook Size: US J (6.0 mm)
• Gauge: 13 sts and 7.5 rows = 4” x 4” in hdc

Stitching Instructions for Making the Autumn Duster Easy Crocheted Cardigan Pattern:

Back Panel

• Ch (60, 66, 72, 78, 84, 90)
• Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each st across (58, 64, 70, 76, 82, 88 sts)
• Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across
• Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures (34”, 36”, 38”, 40”, 42”, 44”) long.
• Tie off and weave in ends.

Front Panels (Make 2)

• Ch (24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39)
• Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each st across (22, 25, 28, 31, 34, 37 sts)
• Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across
• Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures (34”, 36”, 38”, 40”, 42”, 44”) long.

Assembly

• Place front panels on top of the back panel, aligning outer edges and leaving space in the middle for the neck.
• Shoulders: Seam shoulders at the top on each side.
• Sides and Arm Openings: Seam sides from bottom up, leaving arm openings approximately (6.5”, 7”, 7.5”, 8.5”, 9”, 9.5”) wide.

Sleeves (Worked in Turned Rounds)

• Attach yarn at the bottom of the arm opening.
• Round 1: Ch 1, hdc evenly around, sl st to join (41, 43, 47, 52, 55, 58 sts)
• Round 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st around, sl st to join.

Bottom Cuff

Collar

• Attach yarn to bottom inner corner on the front of the cardigan.

Pockets (Make 2)

• Ch 22
• Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each st across.
• Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across.
• Repeat Row 2 until pocket measures approximately 5” tall.
• Alternate FPhdc and BPhdc for one row.
• Tie off and weave in ends.
• Sew pockets to lower front panels, leaving openings at the top.

Final Step:
