Free Fleece Teddy and Bunny Pattern

Materials Needed & Measurements:

• Fleece Fabric/Yarn (soft, medium-weight)
• Crochet Hook/Knitting Needles (appropriate for chosen yarn)
• Polyester Fiberfill (for stuffing)
• Safety Eyes (12-18mm)
• Yarn Needle (for sewing)
• Optional: Felt for facial features (nose, mouth)

• Teddy Bear Head: 4-5 inches in diameter
• Bunny Head: 4-5 inches in diameter
• Body: 6-8 inches in length (both teddy and bunny)
• Arms/Legs: 3-4 inches in length
• Ears: 2-3 inches (teddy) / 4-5 inches (bunny)

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sl st = slip stitch
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• st = stitch
• inc = increase (2 stitches in the same stitch)
• dec = decrease (combine two stitches into one)

Stitching Instructions for Making Fleece Teddy and Bunny Pattern:

Head (Teddy and Bunny)

• Start with a Magic Ring: Ch 1, work 6 sc into the ring (6).
• Round 1: Inc in each st (12).
• Round 2: Sc in next st, inc in next st repeat around (18).
• Round 3: Sc in next 2 st, inc in next st repeat around (24).
• Round 4-7: Sc in each st around (24).
• Round 8: Sc in next 2 st, dec repeat (18).
• Round 9: Sc in next st, dec repeat (12).
• Round 10: Dec around (6).
• Finish Off: Stuff head with fiberfill, and use a long tail to close the remaining opening.

Body (Teddy and Bunny)

• Start with a Magic Ring: Ch 1, work 6 sc into the ring (6).
• Round 1: Inc in each st (12).
• Round 2: Sc in next st, inc in next st repeat (18).
• Round 3-6: Sc in each st around (18).
• Round 7: Sc in next st, dec repeat (12).
• Round 8: Dec around (6).
• Finish Off: Stuff body with fiberfill and attach to head using a long tail.

Arms (Make 2)

• Start with a Magic Ring: Ch 1, work 6 sc into the ring (6).
• Round 1: Inc in each st (12).
• Round 2-4: Sc in each st around (12).
• Round 5: Sc in next st, dec repeat (8).
• Round 6: Dec around (4).
• Finish Off: Stuff lightly and attach arms to body using the tail left.

Legs (Make 2)

• Start with a Magic Ring: Ch 1, work 6 sc into the ring (6).
• Round 1: Inc in each st (12).
• Round 2-5: Sc in each st around (12).
• Round 6: Sc in next st, dec repeat (8).
• Round 7: Dec around (4).
• Finish Off: Stuff lightly and attach legs to body using the tail left.

Ears (Teddy)

• Row 1: Ch 7, turn, sc in 6 stitches (6).
• Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc across (6).
• Row 3: Ch 1, turn, dec, sc in next 4, dec (4).
• Row 4: Ch 1, turn, dec twice (2).
• Finish Off: Attach ears to top of head.

Ears (Bunny)

• Row 1: Ch 9, turn, sc in 8 stitches (8).
• Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc across (8).
• Row 3: Ch 1, turn, dec, sc in next 6, dec (6).
• Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc across (6).
• Finish Off: Attach bunny ears to the head.

Assembly:

• Attach safety eyes to the head in the desired position.
• Sew the head to the body, ensuring it’s centered and securely attached.
• Attach arms and legs to the body at your preferred positions.
• Place the ears on the head and securely sew them in position.
• If you like, cut out felt pieces for the nose and mouth and sew them onto the face.
• Weave in all ends to complete your teddy bear or bunny.
