  • Round 2: Work an increase in each stitch (2 sc in each stitch). (12 stitches)

  • Round 12: Sc 2, dec around. (18 stitches)
  • Round 13: Sc 1, dec around. (12 stitches)
  • Round 14: Dec around. (6 stitches)
  • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for closing. Gently stuff the bunny body with the toy stuffing.

Bunny Ears (Make 2):

  • Begin the ear: Start with a chain of 6.
  • Row 1: Starting from the second chain from the hook, work 1 sc in each chain stitch (5 stitches).
  • Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch across. (5 stitches)
  • Repeat Row 2 for 6 total rows or until the ears measure approximately 6 cm in length.
  • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Fold the base of each ear slightly for a gentle curve and attach to the top of the bunny’s head.

Heart:

  • Start the heart shape: Begin with a magic ring.
  • Round 1: Work 6 sc into the magic ring. (6 stitches)
  • Round 2: Work an increase in each stitch (2 sc in each stitch). (12 stitches)
  • Round 3: Sc 1, inc around. (18 stitches)
  • Round 4: Sc 2, inc around. (24 stitches)
  • Round 5: Sc 3, inc around. (30 stitches)
  • Round 6: Sc 4, inc around. (36 stitches)
  • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Gently pinch the top of the heart to create a pointed shape. Secure the top with the yarn tail.

Assembly:

  • Attaching the Heart: Place the heart in the bunny’s arms. Using a yarn needle, sew the heart securely into the bunny’s hands. If desired, bend the arms slightly to help the bunny hold the heart naturally.
  • Attaching the Ears: Position the ears on the bunny’s head and sew them into place using the yarn needle. Curve the ears slightly outward for a gentle and balanced appearance.
  • Facial Features (Optional): With black yarn or embroidery floss, create two small dots for the eyes and stitch a small triangular nose beneath them.

Finishing:

  • Tidy up any loose ends by threading them through with a yarn needle.
  • Adjust the stuffing in the bunny’s body if necessary, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
