Materials Needed

Beginning Popcorn

1. Chain 3.

4DC Popcorn

Round-by-Round Guide

Round 1

Begin with Color A. Create a magic ring (MR) and work six single crochets (sc) into it.

Round 2

Work 2 sc in each stitch. Fasten off and join Colour B.

Round 3

Chain 3 (counts as a double crochet), then make a double crochet in the same stitch. Next, perform 2 double crochets in each stitch across the row. Continue until the end. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the initial chain. Fasten off and switch to Colour C.

Round 4

Chain 2 (counts as a half double crochet), perform a half double crochet in the same stitch.

Chain one; work six sc in each chain five space and one sc on top of each popcorn stitch. Slip stitch to beginning chain and fasten off. Join Colour C into sc above a popcorn stitch [84 sc].

Round 9

Chain one; work two sc in the same stitch; (sc in each of the next six sc, two sc in same sc above popcorn from Round 7) until finished. Join with a slip stitch to beginning stitch and fasten off. Join Colour A [96 sc].

Round 10

Chain one; sc in same stitch; skip three stitches and work shells as follows: (dc, chain one five times, skip three stitches) repeat around to finish. Fasten off.
