Arms (Optional – Color Striping):

To create color stripes for the arms:

  • After completing Rnd 3, switch to a new color and sc around for the desired number of rounds (3–4 rounds).
  • To change color, use the dc stitch to add a new color and secure it tightly.
  • To create stripes, alternate colors by working in sc or dc around.

Assembling the Octopus:

  • Attach the Eyes: Sew the safety eyes onto the head using black thread. Position them near the center of the head, about one stitch apart.
  • Attach the Arms: Sew the arms around the base of the body, evenly spacing them out. Start by placing one arm on each side of the body and continue until all 8 arms are attached.
  • Sewing the Head and Body: Carefully sew the head to the top of the body, using the long tail left from finishing off the head. Ensure the two parts are securely attached.
  • Finishing Touches: Use pink blush to add a cute touch to the cheeks. Apply it lightly with a cotton swab to each side of the head, right under the eyes.
  • Embroidery for Facial Features: Using black thread, embroider a small smile or any other features you’d like on the octopus’ face.
  • Stuffing: If needed, add more polyfill or cotton wool to give the octopus a nice, firm shape.
  • Final Adjustments: Once everything is sewn in place and securely attached, make sure the limbs are even and the octopus is balanced. You can adjust the stuffing or positioning of the arms to get the desired look.
