Trinity Mandala Pattern Instructions:

First Round

First Round

Using Color A (130 Old Lace), start by making a chain of 6 stitches and join with a slip stitch to form a ring.

Inside this ring, work 12 double crochets (dc). After completing the double crochets, join the round with a slip stitch to the top of the first dc to close the round. This creates the foundation for your mandala.

Second Round

Second Round

For the second round, change to Color B (403 Lemonade). In each dc from the previous round, work 2 dc. This will double the number of double crochets in this round.

After finishing this round, join with a slip stitch to the top of the first dc. You should now have 24 dc in total, forming a more robust layer for your mandala.

Third Round

Third Round

Next, change to Color C (208 Yellow Gold). In each dc from the previous round, create a cluster by working 1 dc, followed by 1 chain (ch), and then another dc into the same stitch.

This will form a cluster that adds texture to your mandala. After completing this round, join with a slip stitch to the top of the first cluster to finish.

Fourth Round

Fourth Round

Change to Color D (205 Kiwi Green) for the fourth round. In each chain space created in the previous round, work 3 dc, followed by 1 ch and another 3 dc.

This combination will fill out the spaces and give your mandala a lush appearance. Once completed, join with a slip stitch to the top of the first cluster.

Fifth Round

Fifth Round

Now, switch to Color E (246 Icy Pink). In each of the 3 dc clusters from the previous round, work 1 dc, 1 ch, and 1 dc in the same stitch, then skip 2 stitches before repeating this pattern around the entire round.

After finishing this round, join with a slip stitch to the top of the first cluster.

Sixth Round

Sixth Round

For the sixth round, change to Color F (398 Colonial Rose). In each chain space, work 1 dc, followed by 1 ch, and another dc.

After that, chain 3 and slip stitch into the next chain space. Finish this round by joining with a slip stitch to the top of the first cluster.

Seventh Round

Seventh Round

Continue working through the remaining colors (G through J), following similar stitch patterns as established in previous rounds.

Pay attention to alternating stitch types to maintain visual interest and balance in your mandala.

Eighth Round

Eighth Round

Once all rounds are complete, it’s essential to block your mandala to achieve its final shape. Gently pin the mandala onto a blocking mat or spray it lightly with water and allow it to dry flat.

This step will enhance the intricate patterns and ensure that your mandala lays beautifully flat.

Ninth Round

After blocking, carefully attach the mandala to the respective rings using yarn or thread, ensuring that it is evenly distributed.

This creates a stunning piece of art for your home. Enjoy the vivid colors and intricate designs of your finished Trinity Mandala!
