Sides

  • Round 1 (Forming the Edge): Ch 1. Work 1 sc in the back loops only (BLO) of each st around. Sl st to the first sc. (This creates a sharp edge for the holder walls.)
  • Rounds 2-6: Ch 1. Work 1 sc in each st around. Sl st to the first sc. (No increases here to keep the sides vertical.)
  • Optional Height Adjustment: If more height is needed, repeat additional rounds of 1 sc in each st until the holder reaches your desired height.
  • Final Round (Reverse sc for Decorative Edge): Work reverse sc (crab stitch) around to finish the edge decoratively. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Final Assembly

  • Place the doughnut coasters into the holder, ensuring they fit snugly.
  • Enjoy your fun and functional crochet project or gift it to someone special!
