  • Hook Size: 3.5 mm Clover Amour Crochet Hook
  • Safety Eyes: 2 x 9 mm
  • Accessories: 38mm Carabiner Clip
  • Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill

Abbreviations (U.S. Terminology):

  • CH: Chain
  • FLO: Front Loops Only
  • FO: Finish Off

Special Stitches

  • Invisible Join:
    • Used to finish off rounds seamlessly.
    • Steps: FO leaving a 5–6 inch tail, weave the tail through the second stitch and into the last stitch to close the round neatly.
  • Yarn Under Single Crochet:
    • A variation of SC for a tighter finish.
    • Steps: Insert hook, yarn under (instead of over), pull through loops.
  • SC Join:
    • Cleaner joining method for yarn changes.
    • Steps: With slip knot on hook, insert hook into stitch, YO, pull through, and complete SC.

Stitching Instructions for Making Brontosaurus Dinosaur Amigurumi Pattern:

Head & Body (Worked in One Piece):

  • Round 1: Start with an MC, SC 6 into the circle, pull tight to close, and PM at the beginning of the round. (6 ST)
  • Round 2: SCINC in each ST around. (12 ST)
  • Round 3: (SCINC, SC 1) repeat around. (18 ST)
  • Round 4: (SCINC, SC 2) repeat around. (24 ST)
  • Round 5: (SCINC, SC 3) repeat around. (30 ST)
  • Rounds 6-10: SC in each ST around. (30 ST)
  • Round 11: (SCDEC, SC 3) repeat around. (24 ST)
  • Round 12:(SCDEC, SC 2) repeat around. (18 ST)
    • Insert safety eyes between Rounds 6-7, spacing them approximately 6 ST apart.
    • Stuff the head lightly with polyester fiberfill.

Assembly Instructions:

  • Attach the Neck to the Body:
    • Use the long tail from the neck to sew it securely to the body’s top center.
    • Align stitches evenly and use SC Join if needed for a clean connection.
  • Sew the Head to the Neck:
    • Position the head on top of the neck, ensuring proper alignment.
    • Stitch evenly using the neck’s tail yarn and SC Join for a neat look.
  • Attach the Legs:
    • Position two legs at the front bottom and two at the back bottom of the body.
    • Use the long tails left from each leg to sew them securely to the body.
  • Attach the Tail:
    • Sew the tail at the back center of the body using its long tail.
    • Ensure the tail aligns with the body for balance.
  • Carabiner Clip: Attach the carabiner clip to the top of the neck or back by looping and securing.

Final Touches:

  • Use a Yarn Needle to weave in any loose ends neatly.
  • Shape the amigurumi by redistributing stuffing and smoothing out the stitches.
