BACK
- Ribbing:
- Ch 5.
- Row 1: (RS) 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end. Turn. (4 sc)
- Row 2: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.
- Rep Row 2 until work measures 32½ (42)” [82.5 (106.5) cm] when slightly stretched. End on a RS row.
- Set-up Row: Turn work sideways. Ch 1. Work 57 (73) sc evenly along the side of Ribbing. Turn. PM at the end of the row.
- Body:
- Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.
- Rep this row until work from the marker measures 33 (36)” [84 (91.5) cm]. End on a WS row. Fasten off.
FRONT
- Work as for the Back from Ribbing to Set-up Row.
- Continue with Body: Rep rows until work from the marker measures 27 (28½)” [68.5 (72.5) cm]. End on a WS row.
- Shape Left Front Neck:
- (RS) Ch 1. 1 sc in each of the first 25 (33) sc. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. PM at the end of the row.
- Row 2: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.
- Rep Row 2 until the work from the marker measures 6 (7½)” [15 (19) cm]. End on a WS row. Fasten off.
- Shape Right Front Neck:
- Skip next 7 sc after Left Front Neck. Join yarn with sl st to the next sc.
- Ch 1. 1 sc in the same sc as the last sl st. 1 sc in each of the last 24 (32) sc. Turn. PM at the end of the row. (25 (33) sc)
- Work as for Left Front Neck.
SLEEVES
- Ribbing:
- Ch 5.
- Row 1: (RS) 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end. Turn. (4 sc)
- Row 2: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.
- Rep Row 2 until Ribbing measures 10 (11½)” [25.5 (29) cm] when slightly stretched. End on a RS row.
- Set-up Row: Turn work sideways. Ch 1. Work 17 (20) sc evenly along the side of Ribbing. Turn. PM at the end of the row.
- Body:
- (WS) Ch 1. 2 sc in the first sc, 1 sc in each sc to the last sc, 2 sc in the last sc. Turn.
- Rows 2-3: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.
- Row 4: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.
- Repeat Rows 1-4 four times more, then repeat Row 1 (or Rows 1-3) once, ending on a WS row. (49 (56) sc)
- Fasten off.
HOOD
- (RS) Starting at the right front neck, join yarn with sl st to the first sc. Ch 1. Work 5 (7) sc evenly up the right front neck, 17 (21) sc across the back neck edge, and 5 (7) sc down the left front neck. Turn. PM at the end of the row. (27 (35) sc)
- Body:
- Row 1: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of the first 5 sc. [2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in the next 1 (3) sc] 8 (6) times. 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of the last 5 sc. Turn. (36 (42) sc)
- Rep Row 1 until the Hood measures 13 (16)” [33 (40.5) cm].
- Shape Top:
- (RS) Ch 1. 1 sc in the first 16 (19) sc, sc2tog twice, 1 sc in the last 16 (19) sc. Turn. (34 (40) sc)
- Next row: 1 sc in each sc to end. Turn.
- Repeat shaping until 32 (38) sc remain. Fasten off.
- Fold Hood in half and sew the top seam.
- Ch 31 (34).
- Work 6 rows of sc across.
- Decrease on each side as per pattern instructions, ending with 20 (21) sc.
- Work sc evenly around the Pocket edges, adding 3 sc in each corner for smooth rounding. Fasten off.
